Screenwriting is the process of writing stories in the screenplay medium, meaning the written content is focused on the movements, actions, expressions, and conversations of your characters. Screenwriting is the ultimate game of “show me, don't tell me,” and a massive exercise in storytelling efficiency.

Simply put, writing a scene which is going to be displayed to the audience is screenwriting. Before any movie or drama is shot, everything which is going to happen in that film is first written down by the screenwriter(s). The writer decides how many people are going to be there in the scene, along with the dialogues that the actors are going to deliver.

Art direction is the oversight of all the artistic aspects of a project. This can be a film project, a media project, or — for the purposes of this article — a design project. Art directors set the tone, feel, and artistic style for design projects — including ad campaigns.

An art director acts as a bridge between the different people, teams, and organizations working on the design. Not only do they oversee the artistic side of the design project, but they also manage the business/organizational side — then act as a liaison between the two, making sure the design side understands what the business side wants and the business side understands what the design side needs to make that happen.

From a technical standpoint, videography refers to the electronic capture of moving images on electronic media, such as digital cameras, videotapes, and streaming media. This includes specific methods of video editing and post-production as well.

Videography may seem like an easy job, professional videography is quite complex and requires professional training along with lots of practice. A videographer plans the flow of their video, identifies the right set-up, chooses the right equipment and may often get into risky situations to get the perfect shot.

Photography refer to the set of skills that need to capture and produce high-quality photographs. Photography skills include the creative skills you need to capture unique photographs but also the technical skills necessary to operate camera equipment and edit photos after you've taken them.

Because of the increased demand for professional-quality photography. photography skills are increasingly valued by companies.

The importance of editing in media production isn't always immediately apparent because the work happens behind the scenes for most people. But talented video editors can turn some basic video clips into an excellent marketing tool that can attract new customers and retain existing ones. Your team might be great at shooting smart, thoughtful footage, but if that footage doesn't come together in a way that makes sense and flows smoothly, your message will be lost.

Editing is performed in the post-production process. Editing is a very labor intensive job in movie making with a certain amount of stress with having to meet a deadline. The editor has to review the angles of all of the different cameras used for a particular shot to edit the best shots together for the scene.
